We love keeping an eye out for new talent, whether old or new, it’s exciting to always see what filmmakers are bringing to the table. Over the past two years, we’ve been impressed by Steve Ilous’ work that started with the futuristic 2088 that we shared in the summer (see that here) and today we’ve got his short film, POLIS to share!
This film is a finalist in the New Regency, PROTOTYPE competition and stars Parker Young (Suburgatory), Dileep Rao (INCEPTION), and Mad Men‘s Mark Kelly. Directed by Ilous and written by Daniel Perea, POLIS is set in the distant future and set around lead character David Porter, a young telepath whose search for his mother threatens to uncover a utopian society’s horrifying secrets.

It’s received some great feedback already and even the mighty Stan Lee shared his thoughts, which isn’t too bad at all!
