Channing Tatum quits Gambit? Trouble over at the Fox lot as actor reportedly set to quit the role that he has been attached to since the film’s conception.
Some news just hitting from Hollywood. It looks like Channing Tatum may have quit the Gambit movie over at 20th Century Fox. This is still developing and should be marked up as rumour only at the moment, but it doesn’t look good.
Channing Tatum quits Gambit?
TheWrap report the news of Tatum’s potential exit from the film, which we reported earlier in the week would shoot in Louisiana in October with a hugh $150 million budget.
One individual close to the project told TheWrap that Tatum’s reps are still in active discussions with the studio but acknowledged that “something is up.” The situation will have to be resolved quickly, as “Gambit” is slated for release on Oct. 7, 2016.
The website also reports that future Bond star Lea Seydoux has also recently tested for the female lead in the Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet Of The Apes) directed movie.
Tatum and his business partner Reid Carolin are also listed as producers on the X-Men spin-off, but it is not known if Tatum’s leaving the project will affect that credit also.
