Last year Netflix began their exciting partnership with Marvel Studios to produce the first of four separate television shows set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Daredevil of course went on to become Netflix’ highest rated original series, which inevitably guaranteed a second season of the gritty crime drama. While Jessica Jones introduced the second strand of the Defenders thread, there is still a long way to go before the small screen heroes of hells kitchen unite.
In just over two months time Charlie Cox will return for his second outing as the man without fear. However, this time round Matt Murdock will have to face the Punisher (played by The Walking Dead’s Jon Bernthal) as well as long time comic book love interest Elektra Natchios. Check out the brand new teaser trailer and poster below!
Although the trailer doesn’t really give us anything in the way of new footage, it does an excellent job of recapping the first season’s most important and iconic events. The marketing style for both the teaser and poster is also beautifully rendered to echo the themes and tone of the shows fantastic debut season.
If Daredevil can maintain the quality it began with last year then it looks like viewers are definitely in for a treat! Although with the Punisher now being brought into the fold, the pressure is certainly on for a season as gripping and compelling as its first!
