We’re just seven days away from the debut of the next season of The Walking Dead and the resolution of that cliffhanger, but there’s some even better news – AMC have renewed the show for an eighth season.
The big announcement was made during “The Walking Dead: The Journey So Far” which was aired in the USA last night. Scott Gimple will return as showrunner.
The eighth season, like the others, will comprise of sixteen episodes, the first half of which will debut in October 2017, with the rest falling onto our screens the following February.
We’ll keep you posted on any further developments. The Walking Dead: Season 7 kicks off on AMC on October 23rd and on Fox in the UK on October 24th.
