A trailer has dropped from the upcoming crime thriller The Execution. This one is set revolve around a police force who finally catch an elusive serial killer. However, no one can prove his guilt, resulting in the lead detective making it personal.
Niko Tavadze, Evgeniy Tkachuk, Daniil Spivakovskiy, and Aglaya Tarasova lead the Russian language film.
The movie had a world premiere at Fantastic Fest and a theatrical release in Russia. 4Digital Media will release the film stateside on 28th May.
Loosely based on the brutal murders committed by Russian serial killer Andrei Chikatilo, “The Butcher of Rostov”, who killed more than 50 women and children before he was captured, Lado Kvataniya’s feature film debut delivers a twisted and riveting true crime thriller.
