Sigourney Weaver doesn’t believe her age will affect her career.
The ‘Avatar’ actress recently turned 60 but she says she doesn’t understand why other stars claim to be younger than their years as it shouldn’t matter.
She said: “I see actresses who I know are much older than I am, who now say they’re 60. It’s like, whatever, you know? I just can’t be bothered. People are going to hire me because I’m Sigourney, not because I’m five years older or younger.”
The ‘Alien’ star also admitted she used to find it “frustrating” to be cast in serious movies.
She added to Parade magazine: “For a long time, it was frustrating for me always to be cast in these serious, heroic roles.
“Because I’m not serious. I’m kind of a silly person. If there’s a spider in the room, I’m running.”
