SHERLOCK HOLMES actor Robert Downey Jr. has revealed that he was shocked with just how well he got on with his co-star in the Guy Ritchie movie.
Robert Downey Jr. is surprised at how great a chemistry he developed with Jude Law. He said that it was like they were doing a romantic comedy together because they got on so well.
He said: “We just really put in the effort and, you know, it’s this whole thing of like… it’s so funny to me, because usually I’m used to people saying, ‘Well you and so and so, this female, had this great chemistry’, and they’re talking about Jude and I like we should be doing romantic comedies together.
“But this film is not a comedy… it’s a love affair of sorts.”
He said: “It’s one thing to promise you can get there and it’s another thing to just roll up your sleeves and get into it. Guy created such a sublime atmosphere. We were just a good team, you know.”
SHERLOCK HOLMES is sitting at the number two spot on this week’s US box-office chart after taking nearly $100 million since its release.
