James Cameron’s AVATAR has just become the number two movie of all time. The 3-D movie has taken a whopping $1,135,383,229, which easily surpasses Peter Jackson’s THE LORD OF THE RINGS: RETURN OF THE KING’s $1,119,110,941. Now all that the film has to do is take anothe $700m (ish) to beat Cameron’s other box-office smash, TITANIC, which is still the biggest earner with $1,842,879,955.
AVATAR has earned around $374.4 in North America and $760.9 million internationally. All that in just 20 days.
