Jack Thorne, writer on British TV show Shameless and Cast Offs will pen the feature film version of Skins.
Thorne has also written a number of episodes of the E4 show of the same name, and will tackle the big-screen version for Film4.
The original series focussed on a bunch of teenagers growing up in Bristol, England. Early series of the show featured Nicholas Hoult (About A Boy, A Single Man) and Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire).
According to The Guardian, via Digital Spy, Thorne will write a movie for that brings together all the different casts of the popular teen drama.
A new series (the fourth) the show is also on the cards.
