Mark Millar talks Kick Ass

Chloe Moretz in Kick Ass

There is an absolutely superb interview over at The Guardian with the creator of the comic books Wanted and Kick Ass, Mark Millar. In the interview, Millar discusses the upcoming film version of the later movie, and talks about the controversial scenes an indeed dialogue in the movie, especially the line that comes from 13 year old Chloe Moretz‘s character in the flick.

“OK, you c**ts, let’s see what you can do now!”

The use of that word was apparently suggested by Moretz’s mother, on set to help her daughter through filming — so reports the newspaper.

“Look,” says Millar, “we tried everything – we even came over all British and tried, ‘OK, you wanker.’ Nothing had the force of the line that we used; it was just right, it worked.”

In related news, Hey U Guys have just posted a video interview with the film’s co-screenwriter, and wife of Jonathan Ross, Jane Goldman. You can view that in its entirety on their site.

Kick Ass previews in cinemas across the UK this weekend.
