Cameron Douglas, son of Michael Douglas and grandson to Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas, has been sentenced to five years in jail for drug charges.
The DJ and actor apologised in court yesterday (April 20) before being told by Judge Richard Berman that this was his ‘last chance to make it’.
The charge against Cameron was for dealing methamphetamine and possessing heroin. He pleaded guilty to the charge in January.
In court Cameron said: “I’d like to apologise to my family and my loved ones for putting them through this nightmare of my own making,”
According to the BBC, actor father Michael Douglas had written a letter to the judge asking for leniency, as had his father, Kirk Douglas – and wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, step-mother to Cameron.
The eight months that Cameron has served on remand will be credited against the given term.
