It’s congratulations all round to the people behind Despicable Me who can all say that they kicked the king from the throne after it knocked The Twilight Saga: Eclipse from the top of the US Box-Office after only just one week.
The animated comedy, which features the voice of Steve Carell, launched with a huge $60.1 million three day take, easily beating Eclipse’s $33.4 million — still a huge figure.
Predators and Toy Story 3 came in third and fourth respectively.
