Roman Polanski gets back in the saddle and plans next project

Polish-born film director Roman Polanski awaits a public talk in Potsdam in this February 19, 2009 file photo. Roman Polanski, who was recently released by the Swiss authorities, and who now will not face extradition to the United States for 30 year old charges, is planning his next film project, his first since this year’s The Ghost — which was great!

Polanski is looking to make the Yasmina Reza play God of Carnage, about the devolution of a meeting between two sets of parents, into a film in 2011. The film will be set in New York City, but for obvious reasons will be shot elsewhere (aka a long, long way from the US).
