Five compete for ‘Dragon Tattoo’ lead

Fight Club helmer David Fincher (above) is said to have tested no less that five actresses for the lead role in the Hollywood remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, which is based on the international best selling book of the same name by Steig Larsson.

Said five actresses are said to be Emily Browning, Sophie Lowe, Sarah Snook, Rooney Mara and an unnamed French actress. All are said to be the five competing to play bisexual hacker Salander.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo will open in cinemas on December 21, 2011.
