According to CBS, Michael J. Fox is to return to the world of television with a part in The Good Wife.
Fox will guest star on the show as Simon Canning, a shrewd and cynical litigator whom Alicia (Julianna Margulies) faces in a massive class action. Canning is willing to use anything in court, including symptoms of his neurological condition, to create sympathy for his otherwise unsympathetic client: a giant pharmaceutical company.
“We’re absolutely thrilled that Michael has agreed to play this role,” said executive producers and show creators Robert and Michelle King. “His intelligence as an actor, combined with his incredible comic timing will really bring this smart, cynical lawyer to life.”
Fox is best known for his role as Marty McFly in the hugely popular Back To The Future movies, but has appeared on the small screen in shows like Family Ties, Spin City and Rescue Me, for which he received an Emmy.
