George Michael appears in London court on drug charges

British singer George Michael has been told that he could face jail time as he admitted crashing his Range Rover while under the influence of cannabis at a London court earlier today.

The former Wham! star appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court in North London earlier today.

The star was arrested back on 4 July in Hampstead after he crashed his car into a branch of photographic shop Snappy Snaps.

According to the BBC, the court will consider the progress of a community order imposed in 2007 and the impact of a prescription sedative on Michael’s behaviour before imposing a sentence.
