The Office: An American Workplace star Steve Carell is to star in the Hollywood remake of the 2008 Argentinian comedy A Boyfriend For My Wife, according to Variety.
The trade reports that the original movie revolves around a timid husband who believes the only way out of his stifling marriage is to get his wife to fall in love with another man, so he enlists the help of a legendary yet unlikely Lothario.
Juan Taratuto directed the original. Carell will produce the new movie over at Warner Brothers. Mark Gibson and Phil Halprin (Snow Dogs) are adapting.
