Mr. Big says the Sex and the City movies are ‘dead’

Sorry girls, it looks like there will be no more Sex and the City movies. Following the critical mauling of the last movie, which hit cinemas last Summer, it seems that the franchise, which hatched two movies in all and six TV series, is officially dead… well, according to Chris Noth (Mr. Big), who said the follwoing to NY Magazine.

It’s over. The franchise is dead,” he said. “The press killed it. It’s like all the critics got together and said, ‘This franchise must die.’ They all had the exact same review. It’s like they didn’t see the movie.
Ow. What do we think? Are we happy to be rid of the franchise. Discuss.

Its amazing to me how capitalist this society is these days. Art truly is Dead in the usa. And for the sake of art there is nothing. These people refer to film now as “Franchises” to be marketed in the same vain as a Mc Donalds or other product. What once was free expression is just a heavily laden bit of pre-reconstructed trash aimed at making $$. For the sake of money. Even the stupid terminology “Reboots” reflects a lack of vision, sophistication and creativity. Its all so lame and pathetic. True Capitalist scum that Hollywood, the killers of art and all that is sacred. And created out of a desire to inspire and to educate. For them, there is only the Bottom line. More now than ever before. And the fools buy into it. Not knowing that as a result they unravel the very fabric of their culture. Everything is Cheap and nothing is lasting. Everything is a corporate Logo. From the scum called ‘Obey’ to the Hollywood morons. Clever business people sucking dry the uneducated masses. Hitler couldn’t have done better himself.

    Oi
