LFF: Day One – Never Let Me Go opens the festival

Mark Romanek‘s NEVER LET ME GO has opened the 2010 London Film Festival. The film does not open in the UK until January 21st next year, but it’s getting some great buzz around town, especially after it’s London debut and the glittering red carpet premiere this evening.

Andrew Garfield, Keira Knightley, Carey Mulligan, Isobel Meikle-Small, Ella Purnell, writers Kazuo Ishiguro and Alex Garland and director Romanek all hit town to promote said flick in the cold setting of London’s Leicester Square.

Synopsis: As children, Ruth, Kathy and Tommy, spend their childhood at a seemingly idyllic English boarding school. As they grow into young adults, they find that they have to come to terms with the strength of the love they feel for each other, while preparing themselves for the haunting reality that awaits them.
