Anyone who’s seen a Uwe Boll film, or maybe even just heard whispers of the German director’s name (it’s unspeakable in some areas, or so I hear…) knows that he can be a controversial lad. To say the absolute unequivocal least. With the release of a horrifically disturbing teaser trailer for his new movie, AUSCHWITZ, hitting the viral market last month, he seems to have gained even more notoriety in the movie world, if that’s possible. Somehow though, despite his less-than-well received video-game film adaptions, he stills manages to squeeze a bob or two hundred thousand out of cinema goers.
So maybe there won’t be a huge amount of open-mouthed stares on readers’ faces when they take in this, frankly, amazing image. The Hollywood News stumbled across a new low-res poster and synopsis of Boll’s next movie on Quiet Earth. I’m all for giving films the benefit of the doubt, but I’m still pretty sure my jaw dropped at least 5 disgusted inches when I saw this.
BLUBBERELLA (yes, it’s really called that) is an action/horror/comedy type flick with a larger-than-life (in the literal sense) lead character. But for more information, I’ll leave it to the official Boll camp for a more ‘detailed’ synopsis.
