She’s not ACTUALLY buying a Zoo guys… I know she’s got lots of money but she doesn’t seem the wasteful sort to me. No, this is a cleverly titled news update about the 2011 film WE BOUGHT A ZOO.
Now that Matt Damon is confirmed as the lead for WE BOUGHT A ZOO, Cameron Crowe is busying himself with a search for actresses who can play opposite him in the movie. It looks currently as if Scarlett Johansson’s name is edging further and further up his list.
Before she goes out accessorizing her wildlife park clothing, there’s the little matter of Crowe’s other ladies in waiting. Amy Adams has been suggested, as has Rachel McAdams and now Deadline is reporting that Mary Elizabeth Winstead may be a contender for the part.
WE BOUGHT A ZOO has been adapted by both Crowe and Aline Brosh McKenna from former newspaper writer Benjamin Mee’s memoirs of restoring the decrepit Dartmoor Zoo. The story, as would all movie material, takes a tragic turn when he discovers that his wife is suffering with a fatal form of brain cancer.
Crowe better pull his socks up fast because he apparently intends to shoot early next year in order to meet a December 23 2011 release date.
Who would you choose?
