Currently filming in Budapest, Worst Previews have featured the first look at the James McTeigue-directed movie, THE RAVEN. Starring John Cusack as spooky writer-poet, Edgar Allan Poe, the plot revolves around a fictional story of what exactly Poe would do should, say, a violent psychopathic murderer decide to kill people using his horror stories as inspiration. Very tricksy.
McTeigue has talked about the movie previously, stating:
“It’s sort of ‘Se7en’ meets a series of Poe stories. It’s set in 1850s Baltimore, and it’s about creating Poe’s version of 1850s Baltimore, him moving through it. So it has a lot of the Poe stories interwoven into it.”
Sounds like an interesting combo. Have a gaze at the picture below and remember, thick black moustaches and goaties don’t necessarily suit everyone…
