Constantin Film option Ahern’s Where Rainbows End

Constantin Film has optioned the film rights to Where Rainbows End, (US title Rosie Dunne) the second novel by celebrated Irish writer Cecelia Ahern.

Where Rainbows End is about Rosie & Alex, two childhood best friends who grow up together watching each other muddle through tempestuous relationships, not realizing what fate has in store for them. An international bestseller, Where Rainbows End was also the 2005 recipient of the CORINE International Book Award. Ahern’s first novel, P.S. I Love You, was also an international bestseller and hit film.

Producer Simon Brooks brought the project to Constantin Film. Best known for executive producing White Noise, Brooks will be producing under his Canyon Creek Films banner with Constantin Film’s Robert Kulzer. Kulzer most recently produced Resident Evil: Afterlife and is currently in production on the highly anticipated 3D reboot of The Three Musketeers, due out next year.

Constantin Film board member and head of Film & TV, Martin Moszkowicz, will serve as executive producer. Among Moszkowicz’s many executive producing credits are Resident Evil: Afterlife, Wickie the Mighty Viking, The Baader Meinhof Complex, as well as the forthcoming The Three Musketeers. Ahern is represented by Marianne Gunn O’Connor of the Marianne Gunn O’Connor Creative Agency.
