Bleeding Cool have managed to get their hands on photos from the set of the “I AM THE LAW!” remake, DREDD. Currently filming in Cape Town, South Africa, the images show some done up 21st century cars that don’t really stick to the futuristic thematics of the comic book series.
DREDD stars Karl Urban in the title role and is being directed by Peter Travis (VANTAGE POINT) using a script by Alex Garland (28 DAYS LATER). The film is destined to be in theatres in 2012. While the photos may not look promising, the team behind the movie gives a glimmer of hope that this won’t be a straight-to-video creation.
