Gale Anne Hurd, the woman credited as co-creating THE TERMINATOR (she produced and co-wrote the original with James Cameron), has said that she would love to revisit the franchise.
The series hasn’t done too well with the third and fourth movies failing to get back their massive $200 million in domestic takings.
Speaking to EW, Hurd said:
“It’s very sad,” said Hurd. “You feel like you gave birth to something and it’s been adopted and those adoptions haven’t worked out.” She added that if another film ever gets off the ground, she love to be part of it. “Of course I’d be interested in doing another one. I’d love it.”
So, what do we think. In terms of the last film, TERMINATOR SALVATION? Well, that film looked great, but didn’t really deliver in my opinion. I’d love for the franchise to be stripped back to the bone and rebooted…
