As we all know THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM scribe Tony Gilroy is tackling THE BOURNE LEGACY for Universal without Matt Damon. We know very little about the movie, and the character of Bourne may not even be involved, but it seems that Damon is still interested in playing the character. With or without Universal, but definitely with director Paul Greengrass.
Speaking with Empire, Damon said: “I read online [that] they are doing another Jason Bourne movie with Tony Gilroy (Michael Clayton) directing that I’m not in,”
“No one told me, literally nobody called me. People think I have inside information, but you can get a sense of where I am in the pecking order.” He added.
“I’d do it again with [‘Bourne Ultimatum’ director] Paul [Greengrass],” said the actor. “Universal doesn’t actually own the Bourne character – the estate does – so technically I could go to Warner Bros… and Universal could read about it online.”
