It used to be that only failed film stars would make an appearance on the small screen until the somewhat failed star William Petersen started the global, multi show spanning, CSI. Now everyone is doing it with Laurence Fishburne (CSI), Tim Roth (LIE TO ME) and Steve Buscemi (BOARDWALK EMPIRE), to name a fraction, appearing on the idiot box weekly. Now, with the thanks of HBO, the big guns are coming out with Kate Winslet (TITANIC), Guy Pearce (MOMENTO), Tommy Lee Jones (MEN IN BLACK) and Samuel L Jackson (SNAKES ON A PLANE) all featuring in two new mini series.
THE SUNSET LIMITED is a Cormac McCarthy (NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN) play with Jackson and Tommy Lee Jones. Here’s the Wiki description and trailer;
The play involves only two nameless characters, designated “White” and “Black”, their respective skin colors. Offstage, just before the play begins, Black saves White from throwing himself in front of a train, the Sunset Limited. All of the action takes place in Black’s spare apartment in urban New York, where the characters go (at the behest of Black) after their encounter on the platform. Black is an ex-convict and an evangelical Christian. White is an atheist and a professor. They debate the meaning of human suffering, the existence of God, and the propriety of White’s attempted suicide.
MILDRED PIERCEstars Winslet, Pearce and Rachael Evan Woods below is the synopsis and trailer;
Divorced single mom Mildred Pierce decides to open a restaurant business, which tears at the already-strained relationship with her her ambitious elder daughter, Veda.

While at University Paul found his speciality lay in Script Development, scriptwriting and Editing. He has written, edited and director a small number of not very good short films but does not let that dissuade him from powering through.
