The Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum is setting up a new Fund to give greater support and opportunity up-and-coming filmmakers in the Chinese-speaking film industry. This fund aims to provide HK$100,000 ($128,607) in cash to a selected director to develop a script.

To ensure that the fund reaches only new directors and talent; the applicant should have made less than three films to be eligible for the development money. The project will be chosen based on both its artistic and commercial merits. Submission is open until Feb. 15 2011.
