The mighty trade newspaper Variety are today reporting that Will Smith’s famous daughter who ‘whips her hair back and forth’ is set to play Annie in a new version of the popular movie musical.
The film is being developed by Smith’s production company Overbrook Entertainment, and will be brought to the screen by Sony Pictures, with whom Smith’c co. has a production deal with.
Word is that none other than rapper Jay-Z is also set to collaborate on the film’s soundtrack. He famously sampled the original soundtrack for his track Hard Knock Life. The original film starred Albert Finney as Daddy Warbucks and Aileen Quinn as orphan Annie. John Huston directed the 1982 flick.

This is the most stupidest thing I have ever heard of. I mean come on who ever heard of a black Annie. Ever since the very first comic strip came out Annie has been known for her red hair….RED HAIR people!! Besides that fact what exactly is Will Smith teaching his kids? That you don’t have to work for anything in this world because daddy will just hand it over to you on a silver platter. Why not make them try out for the part with other hard working actors & actresses? Not cool Will, not cool at all.
