Famed film composer John Barry died yesterday of a heart attack in New York at the age of 77.
Barry had won numerous Oscars over his time scoring films including; DANCES WITH WOLVES, OUT OF AFRICA,THE LION IN WINTER and BORN FREE. But the man will probably be best known for creating the icon theme for James Bond. As well as the theme he also scored 11 Bond films in total. He has even been recognised by the Royals being awarded with an OBE in in 1999.
It’s a shame to lose such a fine musician and our best wishes go to his family.
