Stanley Tucci, Bill Nighy and John Kassirhave joined the cast of director Bryan Singer’s Jack The Giant Killer, according to Coming Soon. The site says that the film is a modern, more adult retelling of the Jack and the Beanstalk story.
They say that the plot is as follows:
When a princess is kidnapped, a long-standing peace between men and giants becomes threatened, and a young farmer is given an opportunity to lead a dangerous expedition to the giant kingdom to rescue her.
Tucci will play ruthless advisor to the king and Nighy and Kassir two halves of a two-headed giant.
CS also report that while the lead has not been cast, an announcement is due as the film rolls into production very shortly.
