Don’t Look Now is voted the number one British film of all time

Don’t Look Now, the 1970’s film starring Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie has been voted the best British film of all time . The top 100 list was compiled by 150 actors, directors and producers including Wes Anderson, Ken Loach and Sam Mendes for Time Out London.

The film revolved around a couple, having lost their child, who take a trip to Venice. When there the husband, played by Sutherland, starts to see a mystrious figure roaming the streets dressed in a rather unsettling little red coat.

Other titles in the list included The Third Man,  Peformance and Danny Boyle’s 1995 movie Trainspotting.

    I could not agree more with this list! Don’t Look Now is a masterpiece and Julie Christie a dream!
    I also love Darling very much! And The Go-Between, should have also been included, being one of her best British films, and, a great, almost magic film! I also love The Red Shoes, and,Distant Voices,Still lives!, and of course, The Third Man, which i interestengly always believed to be an American film,maybe because of Cotten,and Welles,of course, and, i would call Trainspotting the hit movie of my generation, while,i’d add a few on the list before the still unraveling,Performance!Love all it is in this list,anyways!!
