Actress Emma Watson has finally confirmed she will appear in new movie Perks of Being a Wallflower, despite rumours circulating about her casting since mid-2010.
The Harry Potter star posted a comment on Twitter about an hour ago saying: “Hi all,just wanted to tell you that for once a story in the papers is true! I’m filming Perks of Being a Wallflower this summer.Can’t wait!x”
Watson finished shooting the final parts of the wizard franchise last year and had hinted she intended to give up on acting, but it seems she’s not quite ready for that yet.
Wallflower, written and directed by Stephen Chbosky, follows the story of Charlie, a high school student dealing with the suicide of his best friend. It’s understood Watson will play the love interest, while Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief star Logan Lerman is rumoured to be starring as Charlie.

She said she doesn’t know what she will do after University.I think she want’s to find out wether it’s the right Job for her or not.It can be that she will concentrate on something different after Perks to find out out what she wants

Actually Emma never said she wanted to quit acting. She just said she’s interested in other things…not JUST acting. However, she very much loves acting and will continue it. She’s already filmed one movie post-Potter (My Week With Marilyn) and she’s about to film another one this summer. I think she’s brilliant and I will definitely watch anything she stars in. 😀
