The fifth film in the Die Hard franchise has been assigned a director. The little known, but hugely respected Noam Murro will take the helming reigns for Die Hard 5. Murro is a very well known commercials director having been nominated in the Director’s Guild Of America awards five times for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials, as well as for the Golden Lion at Cannes. Murro has only one feature credit to his name, and that is the Miramax movie Smart People, released in 2008.
Skip Woods is writing the screenplay for DH5, having gone back to the drawing board following Fox being reportedly unhappy with a recent draft. John MaClane himself Bruce Willis is said to be heavily involved in the process.
