Eastwood and Nicholson possibly superhero pensioners

Even though GRAN TORINO was suppose to be Clint Eastwood’s last acting role, it has been rumoured that he and Jack Nicholson are possibly attached to the Matthew Vaughn film THE GOLDEN AGE.

The project, adapted from the soon to be released Jonathan Ross and Tommy Lee Edwards comic, about a group of retired superheroes that put on the costume again to help their grand kids. Vaughn’s ideal cast is Eastwood, who is already lining up a new project of A STAR IS BORN while filming J EDGAR HOOVER, Jack Nicholson and Warren Beatty who hasn’t appeared on screen for ten plus years and doesn’t look like he wants to either.

Even though the project does sound like another SPACE COWBOYS I’m sure with Vaughn’s track record of comic book films he’ll be able to make something fun out of it.

Thanks for Bleeding Cool for the image.

Paul finished is BA in Film & Broadcast Productions during the summer and has somehow landed the position of Media & Marketing Manager in the London Korean Film Festival happening this November (plug). While at University Paul found his speciality lay in Script Development, scriptwriting and Editing. He has written, edited and director a small number of not very good short films but does not let that dissuade him from powering through. After the Koreans are through with him he looks to enter the paid world of Script Development. He likes incredibly bad horror films, East Asian movies, comics and lots of other stuff.
