Something scarier than CORALINE comes our way

The fantastic director of CORALINE, HENRY AND THE GIANT PEACH and THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS is heading a new Disney animated film which is being tailored as a horror film for kids.

Henry Selick is the head of a new animation studio in San Fran, the newly christened Shademaker Productions, formly known as Cinderbiter Productions.  They have recently been placing ads looking to take on new talent for this ‘scary film’ with CreativeHeads posting stating;

Cinderbiter is a new stop-motion company whose mandate is to make great, scary films for young ‘uns with a small, tight-knit crew who watch each other’s backs. Joining Henry on Cinderbiter’s first production will be veteran team members Eric Leighton and the celebrated production designer, Lou Romano. That’s right – Lou Romano!

So it looks as if they don’t have just the great talent of Selick on board but also Eric Leighton (CORALINE) and Lou Romano (RATATOUILLE). I don’t know about you but if they’re looking to make a film creepier than CORALINE or JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH it’ll probably be more frightening than a long haired Japanese girl wearing a nightie.

Paul finished is BA in Film & Broadcast Productions during the summer and has somehow landed the position of Media & Marketing Manager in the London Korean Film Festival happening this November (plug). While at University Paul found his speciality lay in Script Development, scriptwriting and Editing. He has written, edited and director a small number of not very good short films but does not let that dissuade him from powering through. After the Koreans are through with him he looks to enter the paid world of Script Development. He likes incredibly bad horror films, East Asian movies, comics and lots of other stuff.
