Director Adam Shankman has revealed (via his Twitter account) that Alec Baldwin has officially joined the cast of the movie version of the Broadway play ROCK OF AGES. He joins the likes of Tom Cruise, Mary J, Blije and Julliane Hough in the film.
Baldwin will play Dennis in the flick, while Cruise plays Jaxx, Blige plays Justice and Hough appears as Sherrie. Russell Brand is also said to in the running for a part.
The story revolves around the Sunset Strip club Rock of Ages, and sees a couple meet at said club, fall in love and try to stay together amid ’80s rock anthems.
Additional: My favourite rock anthem is possibly Here I Go Again by Whitesnake, though I am also impartial to a little Starship… We Built This City… etc.
