Charlie Sheen is fired from Two And A Half Men

In news we kind of expected, actor Charlie Sheen has been ‘fired’ from his highly paid job on the US sitcom TWO AND A HALF MEN, according to Warner Brothers. The news follows the actor setting up his 1m+ subscribed Twitter page and his flurry of recent interviews in which he ‘dissed’ ‘Men’s’ creator Chuck Lorre.

“After careful consideration, Warner Bros. Television has terminated Charlie Sheen’s services on Two and a Half Men effective immediately.”

“Based on the totality of Charlie Sheen’s statements, conduct and condition, CBS and Warner Bros. Television have decided to discontinue production of ‘Two and a Half Men’ for the remainder of the season.”

Sheen himself responded to celebrity blog TMZ (who also posted his dismissal letter):

“This is very good news. They continue to be in breach, like so many whales. It is a big day of gladness at the Sober Valley Lodge because now I can take all of their bazillions, never have to look at whatshisc**k again and I never have to put on those silly shirts for as long as this warlock exists in the terrestrial dimension.”

Meanwhile this article reports that Sheen could launch a new TV show on HDNet in the US, a station owned by Mark Cuban.

Cameras already are rolling, although plenty of details still need to be worked out — such as what kind of show it might be. Cuban said Sunday a decision of whether to make it a reality show, a talk show or something else will be up to Sheen.
