Variety are reporting tha Jennifer Lawrence, she who received an Academy award nomination for her acting work on WINTER’S BONE, has been cast in THE HUNGER GAMES, a new movie based on the novel of the same name by Suzanne Collins.
‘Games’ will be a PG-13 rated film, which is is set in a dystopian future where a young woman joins a survival contest to save her community. According to the trade TRUE GRIT star Hailee Steinfeld and Abigail Breslin, who are both aged 14, were being considered for the part, but Lionsgate has opted for the 20-year-old Lawrence, probably to appeal to an older audience.
