Bret McKenzie, he who starred in the superb TV series FLIGHT OF THE CONCHORDS has joined the cast of Peter Jackson’s THE HOBBIT, according to sources over at Variety.
McKenzie will play the character of Lindir, an Elf of Rivendel in the film, which is shooting over in New Zealand. The star did briefly appear in The Lord of the Rings movies earlier on last decade, as did his father Peter McKenzie, who played Elendil.
The films will be released in December 2012 and 2013.
