Robert Zemeckis is going to tell us How To Survive A Garden Gnome Attack

It looks like Robert Zemeckis is dusting down his clothes from the box-office disaster that was MARS NEEDS MOMS and heading back to live-action (ish) fodder with HOW TO SURVIVE A GARDEN GNOME ATTACK. The film will be based on the Chuck Sambuchino novel of the same name. The book is more of a survival guide than striaght out novel, and on Sambuchino’s official website, he says the following:

In 2009 alone, there were 987 attacks recorded by the Gnome Attacks Hotline based out of Berlin, Germany. Don’t bother asking your local authorities about these attack–they can’t corral the data like we can. The fact is that if the public knew about how many gnomeowners are mauled and attacked each year by their own statues, the public would erupt into mass chaos.

The film will be adult-orientated with Zemeckis blending CGI and live-action. Find out more about the book at the official site.
