First Peek: WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN

Septimo Vicio has premiered the first stills from the new John C. Reilly and Tilda Swindon’s flick, WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN.

The film which is to be screened at the upcoming Cannes Film Fest is directed by Lynne Ramsay (RATCATCHER) and is adapted from the book of the same name and is about:

The mother of a teenage boy who went on a high-school killing spree tries to deal with her grief — and feelings of responsibility for her child’s actions — by writing to her estranged husband.

Like most of Ramsay’s films this looks incredibly striking as well as woefully depressing but will be great to see Reilly in a serious film again and Swindon is always great. WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT KEVIN is out September 2nd 2011:

Paul finished is BA in Film & Broadcast Productions during the summer and has somehow landed the position of Media & Marketing Manager in the London Korean Film Festival happening this November (plug). While at University Paul found his speciality lay in Script Development, scriptwriting and Editing. He has written, edited and director a small number of not very good short films but does not let that dissuade him from powering through. After the Koreans are through with him he looks to enter the paid world of Script Development. He likes incredibly bad horror films, East Asian movies, comics and lots of other stuff.
