Reports around the web today say that Kate Beckinsale has reportedly been cast by husband Len Wiseman in the remake of the classic sci-fi movie TOTAL RECALL. Beckinsale is up for the role of Lori in the film, a character played by Sharon Stone in the 1990 original. Lori is the wife of the main character Doug Quaid, played by Colin Farrell.
TOTAL RECALL is based on the Philip K. Dick short story We Can Remember It For You Wholesale.
Shooting is going to get underway on the Wiseman directed flick later this summer. There is one major female lead still not cast, and although Jessica Biel was being mooted for a role, it’s thought that the role will go to either Rosario Dawson or Eva Mendes. Our guess is that one of them will be playing Melina in the film.
