Bryan Cranston has joined the heaving cast of the movie version of the musical ROCK OF AGES. Tom Cruise, Mary J. Blige, Julianne Hough, Alec Baldwin, Paul Giamatti, Amy Adams, Diego Bonet, Russell Brand and Catherine Zeta-Jones are already in the movie to be directed by Adam Shankman.
The director spilled the beans about Cranston’s casting on his Twitter page.
He said: “So honored! Bryan Cranston is joining the cast of #rockofagesmovie! LA has a mayor!
The film is set at the Sunset Strip club Rock Of Ages, and revolves around a couple who fall in love. The musical is set to 80’s rock ballads. Shooting is about to kick off for a Summer 2012 release.
Cranston is a busy boy. He also recently signed up to play the villain in Len Wiseman’s TOTAL RECALL remake.
