Its great to see Cllian Murphy back and this time with a great looking thriller from first time director/writer Carl Tibbetts named RETREAT.
Kate (Thandie Newton) and Martin (Cillian Murphy) escape from personal tragedy to an Island Retreat. Cut off from the outside world, their attempts to recover are shattered when a Man (Jamie Bell) is washed ashore, with news of airborne killer disease that is sweeping through Europe.
Jamie Bell seems to be on a roll of crazy/action type roles with THE EAGLE which I never would of thought Billy Elliot capable of but he damn well is. The film has just been picked up by Fox and is on its way to the Cannes Film Market but should be released in the UK sometime later this year.
