Charlie Hunnam, he who appeared in the superb flicks CHILDREN OF MEN and COLD MOUNTAIN has signed on the dotted line to star in Guillermo del Toro’s PACIFIC RIM.
The film is set up at Legendary Pictures and we don’t know a great deal about it as yet. The script is written by Travis Beacham and according to Deadline from where this news originates, PACIFIC RIM ‘is set in a future where giant malevolent creatures threaten to destroy the earth, city by city. To combat its annihilation, the planet must band together and use highly advanced weapons technology to eradicate the growing threat.’

Hunnam is also known for his roles opposite Ron Perlman in the fantastic TV show ‘Son’s of Anarchy’ and the brilliant GREEN STREET (left).
