You’d have thought they would’ve learned from the last dire sequel wouldn’t you, but that has not stopped 20th Century Fox from planning to reboot THE FLINTSTONES. But hang on and stay with me; this isn’t news of a new movie. Oh no, see FAMILY GUY creator Seth MacFarlane is wanting to bring the classic series back to TV screens in 2013!
Hang on! Seth MacFarlane? We’re there!
Speaking at a presentation in New York yesterday, MacFarlane announced his plans, plus what we can expect to see in the reboot.
“One of the first things I ever drew was Fred Flintstone,” MacFarlane said. “The characters will look the same but the only thing that will change is the stories,”
“What’s the [prehistoric] version of an iPod?”
THE FLINTSTONES was one of my favourite shows as a kid, and although I’m not the biggest fan of FAMILY GUY, I do get and appreciate MacFarlane’s genius.
