Scream if you want more!
He’s over in Cannes at the moment looking to pick up the next big thing, but Harvey Weinstein could be looking at doing another film in an already lucrative franchise; one that was recently revived. That film series is SCREAM, and with the fourth one in cinemas now doing so-so, a fifth may be on the cards, and that’s according to the man himself.
In an interview with MTV, Weinstein is asked if he is at all disappointed with the performance of the fourth outing in the series. The film has after all, only managed to score $37.5 at the US box-office.
“I’m sure [Wes Craven is] going to do a sequel, I’m sure he’s going to do a sequel,” Weinstein said to the MTV in a video that you can watch below.
“Foreign [sales] are so strong that we’ll do over $100 million worldwide. It’s at $90 now, with about five or six major countries to go and a lot of small ones. We’ll probably do $110 million.”
