A short list of directors for the next WOLVERINE movie has been revealed. The comic book sequel will be called simply THE WOLVERINE, and is set to once again star Hugh Jackman as the title character. Variety report the news of the short list of A-listers who are:

The sequel is set in Japan and the screenplay is written by one Christopher McQuarrie, he who wrote Bryan Singer’s superb THE USUAL SUSPECTS! We have no idea as to when the film will start to shoot, but we’ll bring you news as soon as we know. The film is set up at Fox, just the same as the June 1st release X-MEN FIRST CLASS, the prequel to the original X-MEN movies.
