Through his constantly updated Facebook page, director Peter Jackson has exclusively revealed that Orlando Bloom will be returning to reprise his role as Legolas in THE HOBBIT, which is currently shooting over in New Zealand. Here’s Peter’s update.

“Ten years ago, Orlando Bloom created an iconic character with his portrayal of Legolas. I’m excited to announce today that we’ll be revisiting Middle Earth with him once more. I’m thrilled to be working with Orlando again. Funny thing is, I look older—and he doesn’t! I guess that’s why he makes such a wonderful elf.”
Wow! We’re excited too Mr. Jackson. Has it really been ten years since the first LORD OF THE RINGS movie? I remember writing about that production online all those many years ago. Wow indeed. Looking forward to the two ‘Hobbit’ movies, which hit in December 2012, and December 2013.
